Metaportrait: Self

3D Gaussian splatting · digital image

A portrait does not fix a likeness; it shows a route through an inner state, from the emotion at the centre to the one a person is moving toward.

Methods
Body scan · Emotion Core · Glyph orbits

A body scan set inside a halo of eight glyphs arranged along concentric orbits.

The structure quotes an icon, figure and halo, except this halo carries a state instead of a sanctity.

Metaportrait: Self

Not a likeness, and not permanent. The same portrait made next season would read differently. It opens a series: a self-portrait for a period, then the next one.

A route through the state

  1. Ignorance → Connection. The lifelong move. Curiosity drives him to make the world better and to bring people together.
  2. Aggression vs Acceptance. His rage comes from what he refuses to accept, and acceptance is how he works through it.
  3. Passion vs Greed. Passion stands above money. He burns for the work, and profit stays a resource for moving, not the point.
  4. Compassion vs Fear. When he is most afraid he finds strength in helping someone else stop being afraid, and that is where his own calm comes from.
  5. Outer ring: connection. He looks for himself as part of humanity.
