Hesitation

At first glance the composition reads as a phallus. Read the labels and it dissolves: a person is hesitating between Love and Instagram as the priority of their life.

The shape was never drawn. It was supplied by whoever looked.

This is the claim of Typismus turned back on the viewer. The canvas holds only boxes and words; the image arrives from the person in front of it, along with whatever they were already carrying. The gap between form and content is where the work happens.
